Starting to think about the next steps now

Following on from the last post. The courses outlined are aimed to give students an area of expertese. Instead of having some general experience in some areas, industry will hold more value to an employee who can do a fab job in one aera.

This is saying a lot about the direction where the games industry is headed.

You might get one person who can program just one specific part of a game to an outstanding level, but thats all they do. Or you could get one person to do lots, designing and developing to a sub-standard level.
In the cut throat world, less than perfect games dont receive recognition, maybe deservedly so.
